Creating a personalised mouse pad

You’ve come to the right place if you’re after a personalised mouse pad, just keep these things in mind when you’re ready to add the finishing touches to your desk set up.

Designing your new personalised mouse pad

The most important thing to consider when choosing the design of your new personalised mouse pad is the design. We’ve experienced quite a few customers pick designs that while they look good on the screen, once printed onto a desk mat or mouse pad, lose a lot of the oomph they once had. Does that mean you have to pick a design that you don’t like? No, you can still choose a design you like, but keep in mind these key elements. Our personalised mouse pads start as a white fabric and using dye sublimation printing we print your design onto the surface, because they start off as a white, Black colours are printed onto the surface meaning that it cannot be true black. In our experience, lighter designs tend to show more details, whereas some of the darker designs we’ve seen tend to lose some details.

What size personalised mouse pad should I get?

Another important factor to keep in mind when picking out the right custom printed desk mat for your new set up. Our custom printed mouse pads come in 5 sizes, 30 x 60cm, 30 x 70cm, 30 x 80cm, 30 x 90cm and 40 x 90cm. While bigger is sometimes better, there are a few things to consider before you go and buy the biggest personalised mouse pad possible.

Consider your keyboard for your new desk mat

Why, you ask? Our desk mats are designed to sit under both your keyboard and mouse, not just your mouse like old fashioned mouse pads.

There’s nothing worse than your mouse pad not staying where it is supposed to while you're having an intense gaming session or working on critical information for that next big job.

What size personalised mouse pad suits my keyboard?

There are alot of different sized keyboards available on the market today, however, we’ll only be talking about 60%, 80% or TKL (TenKeyLess) and full sized keyboards today. Generally 60% keyboards take up around 30cm or 12” of your desks width so even our smallest sized mouse pad, our 30 x 60cm size, will give you sufficient space to move your mouse around.

80% or TenKeyLess keyboards add approximately 5cm so allow around 35cm or 14” of space for your new personalised mouse pad, most customer with a TKL keyboard allow for a 30 x 70cm or 30 x 80cm desk mat, but some even go for 30 x 90cm, especially if you have a nice design that you’d just like to see more of.

Full sized keyboards can stretch out to approximately 45cm or 18” and we usually recommend the larger sizes to these customers, most end up with the 30 x 90cm or 40 x 90cm custom desk mats, depending on what your desk allows.
